Crestmoor Disaster Permits, March 3-31

The Crestmoor neighborhood, although still a long way from being completely rebuilt after the Sept. 9 pipeline explosion and fire, continues to make progress toward being restored as homeowners .

Throughout March, 10 permits were pulled. City officials mostly approved work for repairs on homes that were damaged, but also included in the permits was an application to rebuild a home on Fairmont Drive. And the city's Architectural Review Committee approved the rebuilding application for the Pellegrinis, whose Claremont Drive home was destroyed in the fire.

According to the rebuilding application, the Pellegrinis are planning to build a larger home than what was there before. The newer home will be a two-story, 2,593-square-foot place with five bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. The home will also have a wrap-around porch and an attached two-car garage.
