SAN FRANCISCO — A developer is hoping to replace a quarry in San Bruno Mountain with an enormous warehouse, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Orchard Partners LLC said the warehouse would create over 1,000 jobs and bring in $1 million per year in tax revenue for Brisbane, but environmentalists are concerned about light, air and noise pollution, as well as the future of three federally endangered butterflies living on the mountain, the newspapaer reported.

The 62-acre, three-story facility could go to the city council for a vote in 2026 and be open by 2027, according to the Chronicle, which noted county, state and federal permits are required.
