Letter to the Editor: Stop Signs Needed at San Bruno, Glenview Avenues

A resident says the city needs to do something about San Bruno Avenue West and Glenview Avenue, which has become a dangerous intersection for both drivers and pedestrians. Do you agree?

Editor's Note: A resident recently sent the following letter in an email to the city, asking the mayor and the Traffic Safety and Parking Committee to look into installing stop signs at this intersection. The city responded that the resident's recommendation was not a feasible solution because of the intersection's proximity to Skyline Boulevard. The resident's letter has been re-published here with her permission.

How possible is it to make Glenview Avenue and San Bruno Avenue a four-way stop?

For us residents who drive this intersection a few times a day, it has become very dangerous.

It does not help that there is a walking trail nearby and that there is all the construction that's happening in our area. We also have a gas station there that gets a lot of traffic, and Lunardi's across the street gets a large number of shoppers who are seniors.

I've been in an accident myself on that intersection and I've seen a few others as well.

Please, let's do something about it by just adding a stop sign before someone loses a life there.
