San Bruno Teen Selected to Represent State at National Conference
The teen is among a group of 250 students from throughout the country who will participate in the Washington Youth Summit on the Environment this summer.
A San Bruno teen who is a student at the Jewish Community High School of the Bay Area has been selected to represent the state at a prestigious national conference being held at George Mason University this summer.
Brooke Rosell will be among a select group of 250 students from throughout the country who will participate in an intensive week-long study of leadership in environmental science and conservation at the 2012 Washington Youth Summit on the Environment.
Rosell was chosen based on her academic accomplishments and a demonstrated interest and excellence in leadership in the sciences and conservation studies, the group that is organizing the conference said in a news release.

The summit brings together groups such as National Geographic and the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., as well as guest speakers and professors, among others, to inspire young people to be the future environmental leaders of the country.
The event will be held June 24-29.
