What's Open the Day After New Year's Day 2012 in San Bruno

All city offices, schools and the post office will still be closed.

The day after New Year's Day is just like most other Mondays, except that we're now in 2012.

So if you're wondering whether any of the places you normally go to on a Monday are open or closed, don't worry. We've got you covered.

All the major grocery stores—, and —are back to their normal store hours.

Caltrain and SamTrans will operate on a Saturday schedule today. BART is back on its regular train schedule.

will be doing its regular garbage pickup, but its office and transfer station will be closed.

All city offices, including the library, senior center and Veterans Memorial Building, will be closed in observance of the holiday.

The  will be also be closed in observance of the holiday. But it will resume its normal hours Tuesday from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Schools are still closed as well. Students don't go back until Tuesday.

Last, but not least, parking: Sorry, but the city doesn't have any special exemptions for street parking on holidays. But don't let that discourage you from shopping locally. There will be plenty of local shops open for the holiday.
