Deputies Arrest Two in San Carlos for Drugs, Explosives
A drug bust on Laurel Street turned up hundreds of Oxycodone pills and over three pounds of marijuana. A subsequent search in Belmont turned up more drugs, explosives, and $87,000 in cash.

Two men, one a San Carlos resident and one a Belmont resident are in jail following a drug and explosives bust by San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office San Carlos Bureau deputies last week.
Brent Bickel, 29, of San Carlos and Adam Dasanbiagio, 26, of Belmont were arrested on May 8 for possession of large quantities of oxycodone pills and marijuana.
According to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, on May 8, deputies responded to the 600 block of Laurel Street in San Carlos to investigate the report of two suspicious males.
Upon arrival, deputies contacted Dasanbiagio and Bickel. Upon further investigation of the suspects and their vehicle, deputies found over 400 Oxycodone pills, over three pounds of marijuana, and approximately $1,200.00 in U.S. Currency.
Based on the deputies’ discovery, the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force conducted an additional investigation. A search warrant was executed to allow agents to search Dasanbiagio’s Belmont address, where they seized over 1,000 Oxycodone pills, approximately six more pounds of marijuana, and over $87,000 in U.S. Currency.
In addition, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad was dispatched to the scene to investigate possible explosives discovered during the search warrant, where they seized approximately 50 explosives.
Dasanbiagio and Bickel were booked into the San Mateo County Jail on the above charges.
