Do-it-Yourselfer Marketplace Coming to San Carlos
As the City of Good Living develops its reputation as a hub for home improvement services, city leaders are organizing a special event showcasing the growing industry.
According to the latest edition of the San Carlos City Council newsletter, progress is being made on bringing the first-ever Home Improvement Marketplace to the city's industrial park area.
The event is scheduled for Aug. 24, 2013, and the San Carlos Industrial Park Owners Association recently agreed to allow use of the parking lot area at 1100 to 1200 Industrial Road, just south of Brittan Avenue, to stage the event.
Organizers say the event coordinator, Labadie Productions (the same firm that assists with Night of Holiday Lights), has met several times with the Economic Development Partnership to coordinate planning, including brainstorming an event name. Sponsorship and marketing materials are now being prepared for circulation and solicitation.
