Mercedes-Driving Shoplifters Arrested: Deputies
Up to $6,000 worth of makeup products stolen from San Mateo County and East Bay stories were discovered inside the vehicle.

SAN MATEO COUNTY — Two people from San Francisco were arrested earlier this week after they allegedly shoplifted makeup products from a pharmacy in San Carlos and several other outlets, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said.
According to the Sheriff's Office, their deputies were alerted around 7 p.m. Monday to a reported shoplifting at a CVS drugstore at 1324 San Carlos Ave. Two individuals were seen stealing makeup products from the store before leaving in a black Mercedes-Benz vehicle, deputies learned.
Deputies were eventually able to find the vehicle. According to the Sheriff's Office, witnesses were able to identify the suspects as the ones who stole makeup products from the CVS pharmacy.

Over $1,000 worth of cosmetic products from the drugstore were found in the suspects' vehicle.
According to the Sheriff's Office, up to $6,000 worth of makeup products stolen from other stores in San Mateo County and East Bay were also discovered inside the vehicle.

The suspects were arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of organized retail theft with intent to sell, second-degree burglary, and conspiracy to commit crime.
