Whether or not the school has power will determine if it opens Monday, Oct. 28.

Hello SCSD Families,
As you may have heard, PG&E shut off power at Heather Elementary School and in the surrounding neighborhood last night. At this time, it is uncertain if the outage will continue into tomorrow, Monday, Oct. 28.

Should there be no power on Monday, we will cancel school at Heather Elementary School for safety reasons. If we do have power or are expected to have power on Monday, school will be open.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide an update to our Heather families and staff this evening, no later than 8:00 pm. That update will go out via both phone and email. Additionally, we will communicate the decision regarding school being open or closed via the SCSD website and the Heather Elementary school website.

If other schools are impacted by the power shut off, we will notify parents and staff of those schools by 8 p.m. as well.
Sincerely,
Michelle Harmeier
Superintendent
