2 Arrested In DUI Crash In San Clemente Wednesday
North El Camino Real was shut down for several hours Wednesday as authorities investigated a DUI traffic crash.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Traffic on North El Camino Real in San Clemente took a turn for the congested Wednesday afternoon after a DUI crash closed down the main street for several hours, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.
"The vehicle drove through the barricades putting first responders, tow truck drivers citizens at risk," a spokesperson with the OCSD said on Facebook.
The driver of the crashed car was arrested for DUI, and the passenger of the car was apprehended after resisting arrest, authorities said.

No one was injured in the accident, authorities said.
The crash occurred at around 3 p.m. Wednesday around Los Molinos and Avenida Florencia. Residents were asked to avoid the area while authorities investigated the scene.
