Camp Pendleton Marine Wife Missing, Foul Play Suspected

Brittany Dawn Killgore was last seen with a Camp Pendleton Marine, who was arrested during the weekend on an unrelated gun charge.

A 22-year-old Marine wife last seen in Fallbrook may have fallen victim to foul play, according to a homocide investigator.

Brittany Dawn Killgore was last seen Friday evening dressed up for a night on the town; a security guard found her cell phone in the Gaslamp Quarter of Downtown San Diego, San Diego Sheriff's homocide Lt. Larry Nesbit told the North County Times.

"We believe there is a strong likelihood Brittany is the victim of foul play," Nesbit told the paper.

The U-T San Diego reports Brittany Killgore filed for divorce from husband Cory Killgore last week, with whom she lived in Fallbrook. Arrangements are being made to bring Killgore, an active-duty Marine, home from Afghanistan, where he is currently deployed. He is not considered a suspect in his wife's disappearance.

She was last seen with Louis Ray Perez, 45, a Camp Pendleton Marine who was wanted on suspicion of stealing an AR-15 rifle, a military weapon. Perez was found and arrested as part of that unrelated investigation during the weekend.
