Did You Go to the Angels Game Friday? Did You See a Beating in the Parking Lot?

Anaheim police are looking for spectators who may have witnessed a fan assaulted after the game.

Anaheim police were looking for witnesses after a fan was critically beaten in the parking lot, according to a police sergeant.

The beating occurred at 10:30 p.m. on Friday in the Angel Stadium of Anaheim parking lot, according to Anaheim police Sgt. Bob Dunn.

A 43-year-old Huntington Beach man and a relative were walking in the parking lot when they were attacked “without provocation by three individuals,” Dunn said. “He was severely beaten. No weapons were involved.”

Witnesses contacted officers who were in the parking lot, and immediately found the victim at the scene, he said.

“He was taken to the hospital in critical condition,” according to Dunn. “There was nothing to suggest an argument began inside of the game or a fan rivalry,” Dunn said.
