Early Morning San Clemente Motorcycle Accident Claims Lives of Married Couple

San Clemente, CA--A motorcyclist and his wife both died in a fatal accident when their motorcycle crashed in Orange County.

The accident occurred just after midnight on July 10, while the pair drove on the San Diego (5) Freeway in San Clemente.

35-year-old Christopher Goodrich, and 32-year-old Luz Goodrich were both identified by the Orange County coroner's office. The two resided in Lakeside, just north of El Cajon in San Diego County.

Luz Goodrich died one day after her 32nd birthday, according to the coroner's office, confirming that the Goodriches were husband and wife.

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at about 12:20 a.m. to the crash on the northbound 5 Freeway near Avenida Vista Hermosa, according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steven Concialdi.

Christopher Goodrich and Luz Goodrich were rushed to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, where they later died from their injuries, Concialdi said.
