New Owners Take Over Wine Store

The has new owners and has expanded its tasting room.

Jeffery and Stacey Lloyd were retired, but they weren't done with business yet. Recently married, they had been living in north Orange County when they started looking for new venture.

"I was online looking at a bait and tackle shop in Key Largo, and she looked over my shoulder and said, 'that's not what I had in mind,'" Jeff Lloyd said.

The couple shopped around for a wine shop or wine bar in Orange County, looking at a property in Mission Viejo before they settled on the San Clemente Wine Company.

The Lloyds finalized the purchase in February and have expanded the tasting room. Friday they hosted Steve Clifton of Palmina and Brewer-Clifton Wineries.
