Noise Advisory In San Clemente Due To Camp Pendleton Training
Marines at Camp Pendleton will be firing high explosive ammunition during their live-fire training Wednesday and Thursday.
SAN CLEMENTE, CA — San Clemente residents may hear noise as Camp Pendleton Marines participate in live-fire training Wednesday and Thursday, a Camp Pendleton spokesperson announced.
Residents can expect to hear loud ammunition noises anytime between 6 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. as Marines fire high explosive ammunitions into the Whiskey/Zulu impact area, roughly six miles from San Clemente.
The sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to fifty miles away, according to a news release.
