San Clemente Art Contest Prizes Awarded

The first- through fourth-place prizewinners for the annual Plein Air contest held by the San Clemente Art Association were announced this past weekend.

San Clemente Art Association’s Paint San Clemente contest ran June 16-24, and winners were announced this weekend.

The contest included a variety of events, including an exhibition and sale, as well as an evening gala.

The first-prize winner was Rita Pacheco with her oil rendering of the iconic Avenida Del Mar restaurant building; the painting is titled "El Ranchito."
