Street Rehabilitation Project Underway In San Clemente
The city's rehabilitation project on Camino De Los Mares, from Avenida Vaquero to the I-5 freeway.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA —Look for nighttime closures in the coming days, San Clemente residents. The city of San Clemente announced intermittent closures for the Street Rehabilitation Project on Camino De Los Mares, from Avenida Vaquero to the I-5 freeway.
Night work is necessary due to traffic volume and for public safety, according to the city. Work began Sunday and will continue through Tuesday, August 17, the city reported.
"The work includes grinding, paving, utilities adjustment and striping," Ziad Mazboudi, Deputy Public Works Director, says.

Night work starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 5 a.m.
Freeway ramps at Camino De Los Mares/Camino De Estrella will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Look for closures on the following dates:
Tuesday, August 3
Thursday, August 5
Tuesday, August 10
Residents are encouraged to use alternate routes during those times, according to the city. Detours will be set up for the use of Vista Hermosa during ramp closures.
"The street rehabilitation may cause temporary inconveniences because of the nature of the work, Mazboudi said. "We appreciate your patience during this period of the project."
