Atria Breaks Ribbon on Upgrades for Seniors

Assisted-living home now assists those with dementia and Alzheimer's.

After a soft opening in in March, Β broke a literal ribbon this week on a that will serve people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia and the entire renovated community primarily for assisted living.

The completion of a multi-million dollar renovation at , a senior living community, was celebrated with local elected officials and senior care experts at the community’s grand re-opening event on Thursday.

The renovation included aesthetic upgrades to the community’s interior, including the addition of a state-of-the-art beauty salon, new cognitive learning center featuring Dakim brain fitness games, a custom fitness center with equipment specifically designed for seniors, wi-fi for wireless internet access and a cafΓ©, according to a company press release.

A , designed specifically for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments, was also added to the community in March.
