1. Final days: The Orange County Fair ends Sunday. Wednesday's highlights include the Orange Crush Demolition Derby at the Action Sports Arena, The Wanted at the Pacific Amphitheatre and Queen Nation at the Hangar Entertainment Arena. Find schedules, directions and more info here.

2. Marketing Seminar: The Orange County Small Business Development Center offers a 6 p.m. workshop on "Social Media Marketing Made Simple & Top Five Video Marketing Tips." Laguna Niguel City Hall, Community Room, 30111 Crown Valley Parkway.

3. Squeezed for time?: Learn how to tie a shoelace in just one second. Check out this how-to video.

4. Birdwatching: Join Naturalist Diane Etchison on a free bird walk at Caspers Wilderness Park from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Ages 12 and up. Wear comfortable clothes and hiking shoes. Parking is $3 per vehicle. Note: Access to Caspers from the Riverside area isn't possible because the westbound Ortega Highway is closed due to a brush fire. But the park remains accessible from San Juan Capistrano, according to a Tuesday update on the website.
