High Winds And Heat In San Juan Capistrano This Weekend
Orange County is expected to face hot temperatures this weekend, with Santa Ana winds blowing through inland communities on Friday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Break out the sunscreen and turn on your ceiling fans, San Juan Capistrano — this weekend is going to be a hot one. The National Weather Service forecasted Santa Ana winds starting on Friday in Orange County, with bursts of hot gusts reaching up to 45 miles per hour in foothill and inland valleys.
While Santa Ana winds are often blamed for increased wildfire risk throughout the state, a recent LA Times report stated that the high winds have something going for them: They really clear the air. According to the report, Santa Ana winds clear out the stagnant air that filters in from the coast before being trapped against the Santa Ana mountains.
San Juan Capistrano residents can expect temperatures in the low 90's and high 80's for the coming weekend.
