Weekday Wind Advisory In San Juan Capistrano, Gusts To 50 MPH

Inland Orange County residents can expect blustery winds until Tuesday afternoon, the National Weather Service reported.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — A wind advisory will take effect Monday across inland Orange County as gusty winds and warming temperatures spread across the county.

According to the National Weather Service, the advisory will be in effect from 3 a.m. Monday through 4 p.m. Tuesday with expected winds up to 25 mph in Orange County but much stronger in higher elevations. Residents can expect moderate daytime temperatures from 75 degrees Fahrenheit to 79 degrees Fahrenheit through the wind advisory.

The strongest gusts will be felt along the foothills Friday evening and range from 45 to 50 mph, according to the NWS.

"Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects," the agency warned. Blustery winds can also blow around unsecured objects, tree limbs may be blown down and a few power outages may occur, the NWS reported.

This wind advisory impacts inland Orange County, San Bernardino and Riverside County valleys and San Diego County Valleys.
