Name of the nominee:

Phillix Fong Program Coordinator, Self-Help for the Elderly San Mateo County

Name of the person who nominated the hero:

Jeannie Ainsworth

Is the nominee considered an "essential worker"?:

Yes

What does the nominee do for work?:

Phillix coordinates meals for the elderly in San Mateo, hot meals as well as a new frozen meal delivery. Everyday he is at the Center dishing up food, placing the food in deliverable containers, coordinating the "routes" for us volunteers. He always has a smile on his face and lets us all feel valued.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?:

Not sure that he gets the recognition he deserves for all of the work he does.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:

He just sent us an email that we have served over 2,000 meals to the seniors in our community. If not for Phillix, this probably would not have happened!
