The physical and emotional abuse became so intense that I started having heart attacks. When EX learned this “cause and effect”, he began to intentionally do all he could to induce them. Two weeks after I finally mustered up the courage to leave him after over a decade of violent domestic abuse, I was hospitalized with repeated heart attacks. EX later told me that his attorney, (located in San Mateo) instructed him to induce situations of emotional distress and then only record my response on camera to discredit my emotional state to discredit the physical abuse I experienced for over a decade.
During our marriage, for the most part, I was the sole breadwinner. Now the tables have turned. EX is working, making $170k+ per year, and I have nothing. No income because of the impact of years of physical, emotional abuse that resulted in a physical disability I now must live with. I’m now having to file for bankruptcy, disability and rely on government assistance.
A San Mateo Judge ordered EX to pay $2,000 a month in spousal support, gave full custody of our two small children to the Abusive EX, granted him a move-away to a county 7 hours away. The Judge was informed I was instructed by my cardiologist not to travel alone, plus my condition and heat intolerance would make the travel impossible for me to endure. Not only that, I don’t have the financial means to afford the travel. The judge ignored all, and still ordered me to travel to see my children monthly.

My story does not end here. I will have to share in bits and pieces. Anxiety kicks in. But I will fight, join others that have been robbed by this court system and will prevail.
