Grants Up To $200K Open For San Mateo Co. Organizations Through CZI

The 2023 Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Community Fund's application is open. See details.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Applications for grants of up to $200,000 for San Mateo County organizations through the 2023 Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Community Fund opened Tuesday.

The fund, which was created in 2017, supports organizations that are helping create a more socially, economically and racially just San Mateo County and it has made grants to 133 local organizations to date.

The two-year grants will either be unrestricted or project-based.

“Local, community-driven solutions are the key to building a healthier, more equitable community in San Mateo County and beyond,” said Cristina Huezo, Vice President of Community at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Community Fund. “Community Fund partners deeply understand the challenges facing residents and what it will take to improve outcomes for everyone.”

Organizations that apply for funding should be working to support and expand the economic and social well-being of all communities.
