Man Accused Of Running Peninsula Brothels, Large Pot Operation
Sheriff's detectives executed simultaneous search warrants at various locations in Millbrae and Daly City during a "thorough investigation."

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A Millbrae resident was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of running numerous residential brothels in the Peninsula, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department.
Kevin Chao, 51, was also accused of possessing approximately 100 pounds of processed and packaged marijuana, with a street value of over $250,000, according to the sheriff’s office. Law enforcement officials said that Chao had multiple marijuana operations in residential neighborhoods throughout San Mateo County.

Several other law enforcement departments, including the FBI, assisted in the case. Chao was booked into San Mateo County Jail.
