Millbrae Vice Mayor Nadia Holober Dies at Age 54
Holober was a six-year veteran of San Mateo County Planning Commission. A native of Canada, Holober spent her childhood in San Carlos.

Nadia Holober, vice mayor of Millbrae and a resident of the city since 1991 died Wednesday at the age of 54 after a long bout with lung cancer.
According to The Daily Journal, Holober kept her medical condition private from the citizens she represented.
In a statement released Friday, Millbrae Mayor Gina Papan said, “It is with the utmost sadness and deepest sense of loss that we announce the passing of Millbrae’s former Mayor and current Vice-Mayor, Nadia V. Holober. Nadia proudly served the City of Millbrae, its residents, and the greater community for the past fourteen years.”

Holober was born in Canada and moved to San Carlos when she was 4.
She was a six-year veteran of the San Mateo County Planning Commission and served a total of 12 years on the Millbrae City Council.

Holober is survived by her husband and their two sons.
“A Millbrae resident since 1991, Nadia Holober’s unflagging spirit of community involvement and support will be greatly missed by all the residents of Millbrae, said Papan in the statement. “On behalf of the City of Millbrae, our deepest condolences go out to Nadia’s husband, Richard, their sons Ruben and Evan, and all of her family and friends.”
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Dunstan Catholic Church, 1133 Broadway, Millbrae.
