Missing Woman With Dementia Found Safe in San Mateo

Reva Laham was reported missing after she walked away from an assisted living home in San Carlos early Friday morning.

A missing 76-year-old woman with Alzheimer's who walked away from her unincorporated San Carlos assisted living facility Friday morning was found in good health in San Mateo, San Mateo County Sheriff's Officials said.

Reva Laham was reported missing after she walked away from an assisted living home at 777 Bayview Drive in unincorporated San Carlos around 1 a.m., sheriff's officials said. The Bayview Villa is listed at that address.

Laham, who is described as an avid walker, was spotted around 11:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of Bayswater Avenue in Burlingame and also had been seen earlier on Burlingame Avenue.

Around 3 p.m. sheriff's detectives found Laham in San Mateo near the Burlingame border. She was in good health and will be returned home, sheriff's officials said.
