​Motorist Killed In San Mateo In Tuesday Morning Crash

SAN MATEO, CA The California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash Tuesday morning involving a motorist who struck the center divider along northbound U.S. Interstate Highway 101 in San Mateo.

The CHP received a report around 8:45 a.m. of a large white pickup truck swerving in and out of lanes along the freeway, scraping against the center divider at about 20 mph and, ultimately, crashing into it at Peninsula Avenue.

Upon responding to the scene, paramedics found the driver unresponsive and administered CPR.

The motorist was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, according to the CHP.

The CHP did not reveal the identity of the motorist as an investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
