Peninsula Armed Robbery Suspects Lead Police On Chase, Escape

Two people eluded police officers following a multi-city pursuit over the weekend, officials said.

PACIFICA, CA — Pacifica police say two suspects held up a man at gunpoint Sunday afternoon and led officers on a pursuit from Pacifica into Daly City, where they finally eluded officers.

Police were dispatched about 3:20 p.m. Sunday to the 1300 block of Rosita Road, where a man said he was held up at gunpoint. The victim handed over the items the two suspects demanded, and they - and possibly a third person - left in a white sedan with paper plates, Pacifica police officers said.

The victim sustained a minor injury during the robbery, police said.

Shortly thereafter, Pacifica police spotted a white, newer-model Chrysler 200 with paper license plates headed north on State Highway 1 near Crespi Drive. Police tried to pull the car over, but its driver refused to stop, instead leading police on a pursuit north into Daly City, where the white Chrysler finally eluded police.

The suspect with the handgun was described as a black male, approximately 18-to-20 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and wearing a dark-hooded jacket. There is no description of the second or third suspects, police said.
