Hazmat Investigation Alert Sent In San Mateo, Police Say To Avoid Area
Police sent out an alert at 2:37 p.m.
SAN MATEO, CA — Police sent out an alert advising people to stay out of an area Friday in San Mateo due to a hazmat investigation.
At 2:37 p.m. on Friday, the San Mateo Police Department sent out an alert stating there was an active hazmat investigation being conducted on W. 25th Avenue in San Mateo.
"Fire crews are assessing the situation, and there are no perceived safety risks at this time. Please avoid the area, if possible," police said.
