Person Found Shot In Hillsdale Mall Parking Lot In San Mateo

SAN MATEO, CA — One person was shot at a parking lot at Hillsdale Mall in San Mateo on Wednesday evening.

The shooting was reported around 5:30 p.m. and officers found the victim in the parking lot, according to the San Mateo Police Department.

The incident didn't happen inside the mall and there is no threat to the public, police said.

The victim was in stable condition, police said in an update around 8 p.m. Officers are processing the crime scene but are expected to clear the area by Wednesday night.
