San Mateo Co. Event Center To Offer Pfizer Booster Shots
The booster process at the drive-thru event center will be similar to previous vaccination clinics, according to the county.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Pfizer booster shots will be offered to San Mateo County residents who are eligible beginning Oct. 7 at the San Mateo County Event Center.
Currently, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend booster shots for people 65 and older and residents in long-term care settings at least six months after their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
Appointments can be scheduled via MyTurn. They are not required for the event center booster clinics, but drive-up participants are asked to bring previous vaccination documents.

“As we work with our local health care partners to make boosters available to eligible individuals, it’s a good time to remember that many members of our community have yet to receive a first dose of vaccine,” said Louise Rogers, chief of San Mateo County Health. “Now is the time to get vaccinated. It’s the best thing you can do to protect your health and the health of your family.”
