San Mateo County Detectives Make Arrest In Child Rape Case

According to a news release, detectives arrested a suspect earlier this week, but warned that there might be additional victims.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — San Mateo County authorities arrested a man in connection with a rape case involving a child last October.

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office charged Rosendo Hernandez Arroyo of Moss Beach with rape and forcible lewd acts with a child under 14. According to a news release, detectives arrested Arroyo at work without incident on Tuesday and warned that there might be additional victims.

According to a news release, authorities said that Arroyo sexually assaulted the victim, who asked Arroyo for a ride home, at a park in Moss Beach. Arroyo had met the victim through a mutual friend, according to detectives.
