San Mateo Police Department To Take Part In Law Enforcement Torch Run
The department has a goal of raising $5,000 for the Special Olympics. It had raised more than $1,700 as of Tuesday evening.
SAN MATEO, CA — The San Mateo Police Department will take part in the 25th annual Northern California Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit the Special Olympics on Friday.
People are invited to line the sidewalk along El Camino Real to cheer on Team SMPD, which will be running southbound on El Camino Real from the Burlingame border to the Belmont border.
The department has a goal of raising $5,000 for the Special Olympics. It had raised more than $1,700 as of Tuesday evening.
