The San Mateo Police Department is looking for a man suspected of robbing a Chase Bank late Thursday morning, police said Friday. Officers responded to the bank at 1730 South El Camino Real just before 11 a.m. and were told by bank employees a robbery had taken place, San Mateo Police Sgt. Dave Norris said. The suspect, an unshaven white man in his 30s, fled with an undisclosed amount of money before the police arrived, according to Norris. No weapons were seen and no injuries were reported. Authorities searched for the suspect, described as 6 feet tall and wearing blue running pants and a light-colored baseball cap, but did not locate him.
