Summer Event Series Encourages All People to Seek Peace
2022 "Pursue Peace" Convention Will Benefit Millions in 239 Countries and Beyond

This summer, San Mateo residents will be able to join millions worldwide in participate in a six-part annual event promoting the appropriate theme “Pursue Peace”.
“Last year, there were so many different threats to our peace of mind to the overall peace of the global community,” said Nathan Pierce, who plans to attend the convention this year. “My family and I are looking forward to the program.”
Jehovah’s Witnesses have held global conventions for over a century, the last three years featuring virtual events accessible in more than 500 languages on jw.org.

“This convention is an object lesson in how peace is being achieved by a global community right now as it unites millions of people even in areas of conflict like Ukraine and Russia,” said Robert Hendriks, U.S. spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “The power of the principles being discussed transcends national borders, ethnic differences and language barriers. Both individuals and families will benefit from attending the program.”
Although Jehovah’s Witnesses hope to return to large in-person gatherings sometime in the future as they were held locally here in San Mateo, the decision was made to host the 2022 three-day convention again virtually.

An interesting subject to be explored is how love leads to inner peace and peace with others. It will conclude with an exciting presentation titled, “Universal Peace is Sure to Come!”
