Teen Cyclist Dragged By DUI Driver In SMC: Prosecutors
A 15-year-old boy was dragged for blocks after being hit by a DUI driver, prosecutors said.
SAN MATEO, CA — A 24-year-old man pled not guilty to charges on Friday stemming from an incident Dec. 3 in San Mateo when he was driving under the influence, crashed into a 15-year-old on a bicycle and dragged them for blocks, according to the San Mateo District Attorney's Office.
Brayan Lorenzo-Gomez, 24, was driving under the influence on Dec. 3 when he hit a 15-year-old in a bike lane near Cottage Grove Avenue and South Norfolk Street and dragged them for two blocks, prosecutors said.
Lorenzo-Gomez then crashed into two parked vehicles, prosecutors said.

Police said they found Lorenzo-Gomez hiding underneath a parked car and found suspected methamphetamine on him.
Lorenzo-Gomez pled not guilty Friday to driving under the influence causing injury, fleeing the scene of an accident, hit-and-run resulting in property damage and possessing a controlled substance, prosecutors said.
