Vegetation Fire Stopped From Spreading Closer To Highway 101
The fire had burned about a quarter acre before firefighters arrived, according to North County Fire Authority.
BRISBANE, CA — Firefighters from the North County Fire Authority in San Mateo County extinguished a small vegetation fire on Friday in the city of Brisbane.
The fire was burning in grass east of the Golden State Lumber and Showroom lumber yard at 601 Tunnel Ave., which is just west of U.S. Highway 101.
The fire had burned about a quarter acre before firefighters arrived, the fire agency said in a statement.

Firefighters stopped the fire's forward progress at three quarters of an acre. No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.
The cause is being investigated by the North County Fire Authority's Fire Prevention Division.

The fire agency, which serves the cities of Brisbane, Daly City and Pacifica, urged residents and business owners to create defensible space around their residences and businesses.
