Wanted Reckless Driver Caught In SMC: Police

For several weeks, locals reported seeing the same truck doing donuts, speeding and driving recklessly throughout the city, police said.

SAN BRUNO, CA — After weeks of complaints, police on Saturday finally caught the 32-year-old driver of a truck locals have reported seeing driving recklessly all over San Bruno streets.

Over the past several weeks, the San Bruno Police Department has received calls about the same truck doing donuts, speeding and driving recklessly throughout the city, police said.

The driver had been covering his license plate during these incidents, police said.

At around 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, officers said they located the truck on the 2600 block of Heather Lane.

Officers said they pulled over the truck, searched it and found a loaded gun.

The driver, a 32-year-old San Bruno resident and a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and booked into county jail, police said. The truck was impounded.
