1 Victim Identified In Marin County Apartment Complex Fire: Police
Police said two bodies were recovered from the wreckage of a major building fire.
SAN RAFAEL, CA — The coroner's office has identified one of the bodies Monday in San Rafael that was recovered from a fire that has displaced over 50 residents.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division announced the identity was a 68-year-old woman named Tracey Lee Lowmiller.
On Thursday, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the San Rafael Fire Department was called to a significant fire at an apartment complexlocated at 516 Canal St. Officials have stated that the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Investigators reported finding a body at the rear of the building on Friday. The Marin County Sheriff's Office Coroner Division took possession of the remains for identification.
A second body was discovered within the heavily damaged structure on Sunday, and the coroner's office also took possession of these remains.
