2 Men Linked To Fight, Stabbing Arrested In San Rafael: Police

Police said officers found the suspects close to where the fight and stabbing happened and also located the knife.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — Two men in San Rafael were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of a fight that ended in a stabbing, police said.

Police received a 911 call just before 1:45 a.m. reporting a fight in progress in the area of Medway Road and Canal Street.

An officer arrived and discovered a person who had been stabbed and was lying on the ground and began providing first aid. The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

Police said they saw a video of the fight and stabbing and were able to radio a description of the two suspects.

Officers located the suspects a short distance away, police said. A knife allegedly used to stab the victim was also found.

San Rafael residents Carlos Gonzalez-Davila, 19, and Santos Gonzalez-Herrera, 21, were arrested and booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of felony assault with a knife and felony conspiracy to commit a crime, police said.

The case will be forwarded to the Marin County District Attorney's Office for review.
