$60K Seized In Marin Drug Bust: Cops

The arrest culminated an investigation conducted by the Central Marin Police Authority with assistance from the Sheriff's Office.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Nearly $60,000 in cash along with items associated with drug trafficking and identity theft were seized last week during the arrest of a suspect on a no-bail warrant, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said.

The suspect on Nov. 9 was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of equipment to make or traffic counterfeit credit cards, among other charges, the Sheriff’s Office said on the agency’s Facebook page.

During CMPA’s investigation it was determined the suspect on the no bail warrant had a storage unit in Berkeley, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The suspect was subject to search under terms of their probation, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities during a search of the Berkeley storage unit found around an ounce of cocaine, 21 pounds of marijuana, $59,980 in cash, a credit card reader/writer used to make fraudulent credit cards along with other items associated with drug trafficking and identity theft, the Sheriff’s Office said.
