MARIN COUNTY, CA — A monthslong investigation led detectives to arrest an East Bay man who is accused of selling illegal drugs in Marin County, according to the sheriff's office. Officials identified the suspect Thursday as David Lester, 56, of Oakland.

The sheriff's office said detectives with the specialized investigative unit began looking into the case in February. Over the following months, investigators allege undercover Marin County detectives successfully bought narcotics from Lester on several occasions.

A search warrant served during the initial investigation led to the seizure of 12 pounds of methamphetamine, 6.5 pounds of GHB, and an array of other controlled substances, including ketamine, cocaine, MDMA, Xanax and oxycodone, investigators said.
