Anti-Vax Arson Threats Target Marin Businesses

A Marin bar is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in connection with a threatening note it received Friday.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — At least two Marin businesses — one a bar and the other a gym —have received threatening notes over vaccine mandates in recent days.

Papermill Creek Saloon in Forrest Knolls is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in connection with a threatening note it received Friday night.

The West Marin bar posted a photo of the note on its Facebook page.

“If the vaccine passport isn’t removed by this time next week this place will burn,” the note read.

The note is believed to have been left at the business at around 10 p.m. by a man wearing a black ski mask and black clothing, according to the business owner.

A similar note was left at a San Rafael gym on Saturday between 11:15 and 11:30 p.m., and Body Kinetics doesn’t even have a vaccine mandate, The Marin Independent Journal reports.

Police are investigating the San Rafael incident, The IJ reports.

Anyone with information about the Papermill Creek Salon case is asked to call the Marin Sheriff’s Office at (415) 473-7250, and refer to case No. S021-3315.
