
SAN RAFAEL, CA -- A brush fire erupted Saturday afternoon in San Rafael. Initial reports said the fire erupted around 3:27 p.m. near Highway 101.
The blaze, dubbed the Mission Fire, grew to 13 acres but by 6 p.m., officials said forward progress stopped. By Sunday morning, the fire was contained.
No evacuations were ordered but residents were ordered to shelter in place as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
