The community is invited to a quiet and contemplative Celtic SoulSong meditation at First Presbyterian Church of San Rafael on Wednesday, January 7 at 5:30 pm. The service will include soul soothing music, readings from Celtic poetry, silence and candle lighting. This is a program of the One World One Spirit contemplative spirituality program of First Presbyterian Church. The chapel is at 1510 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael and is handicap accessible.

The Osher Marin JCC is pleased to announce the return of the "Best of the Fest" from this season's San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, featuring three must-see films!
All films will take place at the Osher Marin JCC in San Rafael, starting at 6:00pm. Films will show on Thursdays: January 8, 15, and 22. Every ticket comes with free concessions, with dinner options available for purchase (limited supply- must be purchased in advance). See line up below.

Best of the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, in Marin!

Join the Osher Marin JCC for the annual Best of the (SF Jewish Film) Fest opening night!This heartfelt film brings long-overdue recognition to Henrietta Szold, a Jewish American humanitarian whose legacy includes advocating for binational cooperation between Israelis and Palestinians. Szold was an avid student who assisted Jewish immigrants and established English-language night schools. A visit to Palestine in 1909, following a personal heartbreak, sparked her most lasting contributions: founding Hadassah to empower Jewish American women and provide aid to the region. Then, as the Nazis rose to power in Europe, Szold launched initiatives that saved the lives of thousands of Jewish children.
All tickets include free concessions and Q&amp;A with Director Abby Ginzberg. Themed dinner available for purchase; dinner starts at 5:30.

Director Dan Sturman and screenwriter Gary Gilbert take us on a quest to find these pilfered stamps, buried in a basement somewhere in Legnica, Poland.

The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns cuts scrapes sudden illnesses head neck back injuries heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age -adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age).
Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
