Central Marin Road Shuttered By Afternoon Blaze Reopens

A brush fire that grew to a half acre triggered the closure of Corte Madera Avenue west of Tamalpais Drive​ in Corte Madera Tuesday.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — All roads are clear after a small Central Marin brush fire Tuesday triggered the closure of Corte Madera Avenue west of Tamalpais Drive, Mill Valley police said in a 6:10 p.m. alert.

Crews from the Mill Valley and Central Marin fire agencies responded to the half-acre vegetation fire atop the area of Corte Madera Ave. and Camino Alto area, Central Marin police said in a 2:25 p.m. alert.

No evacuations were ordered.

"Fire personnel have finished their work on the Camino Alto vegetation fire," Mill Valley police said.

"All fire equipment has cleared the area and the roadway has opened."
