The city also announced this week it has promoted Alicia Guidice from planning manager to community development director. She will begin her new role on June 1.
Guidice has 25 years of experience working in both the private sector and in government, Schutz said. She will enter her new role after the retirement of Paul Jensen, the city's current community development director.
“I am very pleased that Ali [Guidice] has been promoted to step in as the new director. Ali has great passion for her work and is forward thinking. The best part is that she knows the community,” Jensen said.
