Drunk Man Fires More Than A Dozen Gunshots In San Rafael: Police
Police allege the man was intoxicated and said shell casings at the scene suggested he fired up to 14 gunshots into the ground.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — A San Rafael man is accused of firing a handgun into the ground several times Monday morning outside a Canal Street apartment complex.
Officers responded to a shots fired call just after 9 a.m. after a witness reported seeing a man shooting at the ground and throwing his gun into a vehicle. Police surrounded the apartment complex and used a drone from the Marin County Sheriff's Office to get a better look at the car.
As officers approached the vehicle, they saw a man who appeared to be unresponsive in the driver's seat, police said. Officers neared the car with an armored shield and asked the man to follow their directions. Police said the man did not cooperate, but officers were able to open the car door and take him into custody.
