Fatal Marin Crash Victim ID’d
The crash occurred Wednesday night at the Lucas Valley Road offramp near a bus stop, the CHP said.
MARIN COUNTY, CA — A man who was fatally struck by a vehicle Wednesday night near Highway 101 in Marin has been identified as Dustin Wade Lamb, 35 of San Rafael, the Marin County Sheriff’s Officer Coroner Division said.
The crash occurred at the Lucas Valley Road offramp near a bus stop, the CHP said.
It was reported at around 9:20 p.m. by a friend who was with the victim when they were trying to cross the offramp, the CHP said.

Lamb was struck by a motorist exiting northbound Highway 101 on the offramp leading to Lucas Valley/Smith Ranch Roads, when for reasons investigators have not yet determined, Lamb and another pedestrian were standing on the exit ramp roadway.
Lamb was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.

The vehicle driver remained on the scene and was cooperative with the ensuing investigation.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be a factor in the crash, the CHP said.
